Safe Kid Fest

This morning we went to the Safe Kid Fest at a park around here. There were all kinds of balloons - so of course we had to get one first off!!

Maggie adores balloons :)

BMX bikers were there. I thought Dallin would be more interested in this one, but I was wrong.

This is called the superman.

This is totally crazy. I was on continuous shoot mode thinking it would be cool to get the whole flip...

What's that?

GRRRRRR... It's Dallin walking in front of me. So much for getting the whole flip :(

The slide next to the bikers that was much more of a hit than the bikers were!

The dummies that don't wear their seat belts there.

And then... the dreaded, awful event of letting go of the beloved balloon.....

Up, up and away....

It was a very sad time for her.

After that she would cry whenever she saw a balloon in the sky and say, "Buh-lyune won away!" --- Balloon ran away.

The Empire and the good guys came to visit us on Safe Kid Day!

Surprisingly enough, Dallin decided that he did NOT want to go meet them. I guess it's all fun and games in a movie - but meeting Darth Vader in real life isn't his cup of tea!

Of course Maggie found the lady that gave her a balloon. And she got another one.

Dallin got to shoot a sling shot for a free pass to the Aquatic Center. Darn, I guess we will have to go swimming.

Look how thrilled he is that he got it through the hole!

We got to get the kids photographed, weighed and their height checked and put on a CD for the Amber Alert system. Maggie wasn't interested in getting her picture taken. Maybe she is too tired of the camera...

The Hunter Safety people were there too. Dallin got to shoot pellets at a target. I don't know that he hit anything, but he had fun!

See all this??? This may look like snow... but it's not. It's cotton. I am SO SICK OF SNEEZING!!!! The other day Lasca said to Dallin, "Look, it's snowing!" He said, "No - it's cotton. It makes mommy sneeze."

It's crazy. I hate it. I have never had allergies before a few years ago. This stuff is awful!

It was "so freaking hot" as Dallin put it. We found a water fountain on the way to the car.

Bye, Safe Kid Fest! We had a great time!
